GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Thursday re-signed defenseman
Doug Janik to a two-year contract.
Prior to joining Detroit as a “black-ace” for the duration of the Wings’ 2010 Stanley Cup playoff run, Janik, 30, appeared in 13 regular-season games with the Red Wings last season, averaging 13:28 of ice time and earning two assists and 18 penalty minutes.
