Time: 6:00 PM Game Sponsor: Lake Michigan Credit Union Youth Hockey Jamboree: In celebration of Hockey Day in West Michigan, over 300 kids and 44 teams will play 140 games at Van Andel Arena from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. during the Griffins’ fifth annual Cross-Ice Jamboree. This year’s participating associations include GRAHA, Rockford, Grand Valley, HAWK, Holland Nationals, Michigan Nationals, Kalamazoo, Capital Centre, East Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Muskegon and Battle Creek. Niklas Kronwall Bobblehead Giveaway: Presented by Lake Michigan Credit Union, 2,500 fans will receive a bobblehead of former Grand Rapids defenseman Niklas Kronwall, the first Griffins alumnus to serve as an alternate captain for the Red Wings. Kronwall recorded 66 points (15-51—66) in 102 games with Grand Rapids from 2003-06. J&H Family Stores Post-Game Open Skate: Bring your skates to the rink and take to the ice after the game alongside Willie Coetzee, Travis Ehrhardt and Gustav Nyquist. Post-Game Autographs: Francis Pare, Mitch Callahan and Louis-Marc Aubry will sign autographs following the game from the Griffins bench, presented by Huntington Bank. Love for Lokomotiv: During all Saturday games this season, the wives and girlfriends of Griffins players -- a.k.a. the "Better Halves" -- will be at the Griffins Booster Club table on the concourse selling $10 “Love for Lokomotiv” silicone memory bracelets. All proceeds will benefit Love for Lokomotiv, a foundation established to support the families of the victims of the tragic Sept. 7 plane crash in Russia that claimed the lives of 44 people, including the entire roster and coaching staff of the Kontinental Hockey League’s Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Included among the victims were three former members of the Griffins: forward Pavol Demitra, defenseman Karel Rachunek, and goaltender Stefan Liv. MOS Corner Office presented by Michigan Office Solutions: Located on the terrace level above section 118, this section provides the best seats in the house for groups of up to 30 people, with La-Z-Boy chairs and an array of amenities.
