Griffins Youth Foundation Golf Classic

The 28th annual Griffins Youth Foundation Golf Classic was held on Aug. 29, 2022 at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven. The highly acclaimed, Jack Nicklaus-designed course that benefits the families of killed and injured U.S. military personnel hosted the foundation's event for the first time in 2021.
The golf classic raises more than $70,000 each year for the Griffins Youth Foundation and the 500 underprivileged and underserved kids it supports. In addition to Griffins players, coaches and alumni, several other celebrities from the hockey world have attended this premier event, including current and former NHL players Landon Ferraro, Luke Glendening, Mike Knuble, Darren McCarty and Chris Summers; former Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland and head coach Jeff Blashill; Red Wings broadcaster Ken Kal; and Jack O’Callahan and Ken Morrow, members of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” U.S. Olympic Team.
