GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday recalled forward Bryan Moore from the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye and signed forward Tyler Spezia to a professional tryout.

Moore, 24, has appeared in 21 games with the Walleye this season, tallying 14 points (9-5—14) and a team-high 59 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound winger ranks second on the club in goals and sixth in points.

A native of Indian Trail, N.C., Moore’s last AHL action came in 2017-18 when he played in seven games and recorded six PIM with the San Jose Barracuda. In total, he has skated in 40 career AHL regular season contests since 2015-16, picking up nine points (3-6—9) and 53 PIM while suiting up for San Diego (2015-16), Manitoba (2016-17) and San Jose (2016-18).

In his fourth professional season, Moore has logged 147 career ECHL games between Utah (2015-16), Orlando (2016-17), Allen (2016-18) and Toledo, accumulating 136 points (65-71—136) and 459 PIM. He established career highs in points (51), goals (27) and assists (24) in 50 games during the 2016-17 campaign and placed fifth in the league with a career-high 218 PIM in 2017-18. In 21 Kelly Cup Playoff tilts, Moore accounts for 15 points (6-9—15) and 48 PIM.

The 25-year-old Spezia leads all Walleye rookies in scoring with 11 points (5-6—11) while adding six PIM in 21 contests this season. A 5-foot-10, 180-pound forward, Spezia has contributed a goal in each of Toledo’s last two games.

Prior to turning pro, the Clinton Township, Mich., native spent four seasons (2014-18) at Bowling Green State where he collected 72 points (34-38—72), 103 PIM and a plus-34 rating in 147 games. A two-time selection to the WCHA All-Academic Team, Spezia produced a career-high 10 goals as a sophomore and senior and tied for second on the club with a career-high 30 points as a junior.

The Griffins are in Rockford today at 6 p.m. EST to conclude a three-games-in-three-nights stretch.
